Oasis The Last Humans

Oasis features Theo, a 23 year old who seems incredibly naïve and childlike. In his society, one is not considered an adult until the age of 40, and is treated like a teenager until that point. In Oaisis, the last human civilization resting under a protective barrier, Theo stumbles upon Phoe, his ‘imaginary friend”. Phoe is much more than she seems, however. She helps the intelligent youth discover more about his surroundings than anyone living. Once Theo realizes the reality of his situation, he’ll never be the same again.Theo is curious, which is an oddity for the mentally neutered humans around him. This leads to all sorts of trouble. He is also kind and willing to risk much to help his new friend Phoe discover who she is and what she has been forced to forget. Theo has to embark on a series of trials in the form of an immersive video game that preys upon his deepest fears and insecurities. The imagery is real and complex, and the reader truly feels along for the ride. I loved reading this. I don't often read a lot of sci-fi books, but this one really drew me in. It was a bit slow at first and some foul language but it really grabbed my attention after a few pages. There were a handful of surprising plot twists in this story that were perfectly placed, and I really didn't see any of them coming. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017FCM5QM/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B017FCM5QM&linkCode=as2&tag=oasis_thelasthumans-20&linkId=YKIBFOK7FPMDOMQW
